Service Installer / Apprentice (Part-Time or Full-Time; mechanical aptitude helpful; limited experience required)

Blossman Gas desires eager, mechanically-inclined applicants seeking a part-time or full-time opportunity to apply for the position of Service Installer/Apprentice at our winning Sylva, NC location. With more than 80 branch locations in 11 states, Blossman Gas is the largest independent propane company in America. Due to our company's culture, these positions experience little turnover for those who want to work locally and for an established company.

Our Service Helper / Installers are professionals seeking to grow their mechanical skills while learning a trade.  This includes regularly helping our team install propane storage tanks for residential and commercial customers, as well as install gas piping and new appliance installations of gas comfort equipment such as water heaters, dryers, gas cooking, outdoor kitchens, and more. This position will also help at the branch location with filling 20 and 30 lb. propane tanks, cut grass, and do general upkeep as needed. This is a great position for someone who has some mechanical aptitude and desires to work less than 30 hours per week locally or work full-time (M-F 8-5). Ongoing employee education is provided.  We provide the education and knowledge to expand a sustainable, meaningful career path. 

The position requires regular interaction with customers and being a contributing member of a team environment. Working in all-weather conditions and routinely bending, lifting, and pulling objects weighing 50 lbs. without assistance are associated with this position. A strong commitment to safety, consistent with company policy, is a must.

Pay will depend on prior experience.  Bonus opportunities available. A 401(k) option (over 21 yrs of age) is included for part-time workers.  Full-time opportunity may be available with good performance.  Full-time positions include a comprehensive benefits plan including dental/medical/life/vision insurance, PTO, and other perks.
